KL.... Gombak

Salaaam people!

Alhamdulillah, reached KL safely this morning, around 1am. Met my aunt and her family first in Johor, and then, took the bus to Bukit Jalil. It was weird as there were only the 5 of us inside the bus plus two more person. Felt uneasy, but alhamdulillah, reached safely. It was raining so heavily that visibility was very poor. It has been long since I saw it rained that heavily. Even the huge drain nearby seems so scary with the water rushing so wild. Went to my aunt's house to meet my beloved grandma! We talk and talk till 3am in the morning. =D

Went jalan-jalan raya with her family just now. Initially the plan was only one house but we ended up going to 3 houses and the distance were far apart. Mostly I slept in the car. Heh. Was really tired.

Suddenly, can't wait to reach U, haha. Seems that a lot of people is missing me over there. I'll be off in a while.

I hope that the things that I want to be settle, will go smoothly, so that I can go back on Thursday. Heh.

Ouh, and need to buck up and start back the momentum of studying. Feel like I forgot almost everything that I've just studied. -__-"

Ah, and one more thing, I realised that I update frequently recently. I also don't know why I am so keen on updating. Maybe there will be lesser update this coming weeks due to the fact that the internet will be slow. Huhu.

That's all from me for now.

I did go after all.

Salaaam everyone!

And so, I was contemplating on whether to go or not to go to my former school of 11 years. I was asking around if there's anyone who wants to join me, but alas, none can make it. As I really really wanted to go, I went on by myself. It was a bit, how should I say it, paiseh to go alone and meet all the teachers but I don't know how did I have the courage to go by myself. In the end, I did went to Irsyad. =)

Upon reaching, was greeted by the smiles of the students. They still remember me I think. Waited for my father at the canteen and met some of my teachers there. So, my father bring me to the teachers room and he sort of shooed me away and ask me to meet the teachers. It was a bit awkward at first as I was alone. But when the conversation had started, it seems okay although there's still a bit of awkwardness. Heh.

Then, one of the teachers invited me to join the celebration/performance at the auditorium. Grab the chance. It was a great moment. Suddenly remembered the times when I was there. Although the place is way different, the spirit the warmth is still there. Had a great time watching the performances and games.

After that, took the chance to meet the students that I've taught before. There was no teacher in the classroom, so went it and talk to them. They still remembered my name. =') Then took some pictures with them although it was a bit of a hassle. Hehe. Kids will still be kids.

Left the building with a heavy heart. I'm happy that I went. Met all the teachers that I was longing to meet and I love taking to them. Gave me insight on things and reminders. The reminders really serve as a knock, no, several knocks on the head. Realised that I've been a bit different since entering U, need to change the bad habits, and be strong mentally as well as physically. I'm really glad that I went. I think this is the third time right I'm saying how happy I am, right? Hehe. Can't be help.

Had a conversation with my best friend on the way home. Thanks for calling. It's been a while since I had that long conversation with her. =)

Ouh, and there's upgrading going on at Causeway Point. A few eateries at level one are closed. Thank God LongJohn is still open. Heh.

Can't wait for tomorrow, or rather this coming morning. Will get to meet my lovely Pre-U twos. Although only around half can make it, we'll make the best for tomorrow aites! See you all!

That's all from me for now.

and why am I so bored?

Salaam....

I don't know why I'm feeling so bored. Really bored. Suddenly has the urge to go back to U this instant. Huhu. There's this problem bugging me. I really want to go there tomorrow.. but.. but.. butt.. so many buts.

I really miss all those teachers. all those kids. But... but... but.. I don't know if i'm going or not. Tomorrow is the only possible day. Haish.

Pray for me.

That's all from me for now.

The journey home

Salaam Alaikum!

The day I've been waiting for.

Didn't have my sahur in the morning. Sort of overslept. That's what happened when you sleep late, very late. Woke up with a very painful stomachache. Can't even stand properly. Reminds me of the time that I had my gastric. I think I had gastric. I was thinking this can't be happening. I'm going home in the evening but this is happening. I was praying really had that it will get better. I kept massaging my stomach with vicks until I fall asleep. Missed the first class. Was feeling really bad as I really don't want to miss any class. But well, I really can't avoid this. Woke up around 10 and was feeling better. Alhamdulillah. Decided to go for the other class. Reached a bit late. Decided to go as I volunteered to bring my laptop for the class for the lecturer to used.

Straight away went back to my room after class for last minute packing. It felt different as this is the first time back home for a vacation. Although was feeling very happy and excited, was feeling a bit sad to leave this place. Don't know why. Said my goodbyes to my roommates as we are not on the same flight. Will tell the story later. Met my good friend who is my neighbour in the floor above. Told her that I'm already going and she sent me until the 1st floor. So sweet of her. Could see that she was a bit sad to see all her Singaporean friends leaving. Oh, she's Sudanese by the way. So walked through the rain with my backpack, my handbag and an umbrella on my hand. Met my senior who took the same flight as me for my sake at the bustop.

So here's the story.

I was supposed to take the 930pm flight with my roommates and the rest of my friends. I asked my friend to book for me, but she booked wrongly. She booked the 750pm flight for me. Although I want to go back home early, I was really uncomfortable as I didn't know anyone else who took that flight. She told me that there are a few other students too, but still, I'm not close to any of them and they are guys. Thank God I managed to ask this senior of mine to take the same flight as me as she hasn't book her flight yet. I thought everything's gonna be fine but....

So many things doesn't feel right on the way home. We board the AirAsia bus in a rush. Got the last seat which is higher and more bouncier. So uncomfortable. Upon reaching the terminal, bought food for breaking fast and then went to the check in counter. After getting the tickets, I realised that our seats are not side but side but a row away. I was not expecting that as we checked in together. Haish.

While going to the immigration, realised that we can't bring water inside. My water bottle is half full and I need to go and throw the water. Was thinking that the water's enough to break fast. But then, need to buy mineral water which is way too expensive, but need to sacrifice the money. Huhu.

Ate the food while waiting for the plane. Then... saw that group of people. Let me clarify this, I don't hate them but after the incidents on the plane, it made me a bit angry. It annoys me a little. But well, I'm not that type of person to really hold grudges and hate. It was really unexpected that I had to sit beside them and I was practically surrounded by them in the plane. It was really and I meant really really uncomfortable. The journey feels like for eternity. Mixed emotion on the plane. Kept my cool. Felt so relieved when the plane landed safely. I walked really fast on the way out. It was sweet for my brother and my cousins to fetch me. When I saw my brother, I was astonished to see how tall he has become, and it was just 3 weeks since the last time I saw him! My cousins send me home with her car and all the while I was worrying about not catching the last bus and how I was going home with the 2 heavy bags. Hehe. Alhamdulillah. Allah has planned everything nicely.

So lesson learnt. Don't worry too much on what the future holds for you, because Allah has plan everything nicely for us. Our only part is to pray and strive for the best. Everything will be fine. Insya Allah. And if it is not, then, we need to search within ourselves what has gone wrong and mend it.

Till then, take care people!

That's all from me for now! =)

Ramadhan Kareem!

Salaam dear readers!

First and foremost, I would like to wish Eid Mubarak to my dear readers. May we meet again the next Ramadhan. Insya Allah. =)

The fasting month, in Uni.

So, this is the first fasting month without my family, not in Singapore. Well, a few days before fasting, I still didn't feel that the fasting month is about to come but I really was looking forward to the blessed month. I only feel the fasting month is about to come when I see posters and banners around the university compound.

Alhamdulillah, as my roommates are all my ex-classmates, didn't feel quite sad or lonely. The first day of puasa went quite well, which is, everybody wakes up for sahur. We had bonding session during buka and after as we will sit at the common place. The feeling's quite nice.

Had my mid-term tests during the fasting month. The first test in UIA, besides the placement tests. As usual, didn't study hard enough. I'm trying to promise myself this semester is the last time that I'll be slacking. University life is not that easy. Seen my seniors trying to do well and it's not an easy job. It's way different than the previous schooling life. Alhamdulillah, I have a lot of people to guide me. And Alhamdulillah my Arabic results is not that bad. See, I should try harder to excel. No use regretting now. Hah.

So after mid-term test was over, was so excited about going back but I was feeling very anxious too because I need to meet my grandma in KL before going back as she is going to Umrah a few days after I went back. At last, I got to meet her a day before I went back, which is a schooling day. Class finishes at 430 and I rust to my aunt's house by public transport. That was the first time I took the public transport alone. Feels like fear factor. I was trying my best not to feel too nervous. In the end, it was a good experience. Jakun jugalah sebenarnya. Heh. As I was alone, observed many things. Two things that made an impact on me. First, was the way the people gather while waiting for the train. The guys and ladies grouped themselves separately. I say this not at only one station but a few stations along the way. It took me by surprise. Second, was the cleanliness. Now I know why my ustazah says that Singapore is a really clean country. I know people keep saying that Singapore is known for cleanliness but I took for granted when I was at home. Now, really appreciate the cleanliness of my country. It was quite sad to see litters all over, especially at the rivers and around the plants. It was an eyesore.

Alhamdulillah, reached my aunt's house in one piece and I didn't get lost. Hugged my grandma so tight as I haven't met her since I entered U which is around 2 months plus. Had my iftar at their house and I feel so touched that I was having iftar as one big family. We talked a lot, and really laugh a lot. Alhamdulillah, I feel so super duper happy. Had a really great time. Ashkuru lillah bihazihi ni'ma. =D

So people, I'll stop for now, need to iron the whole family clothes for visiting later on. -_- So, I'll continue about my journey home in the next post. Till then, take care! =)

That's all from me for now.

University life...

Salaam everyone!

Let me continue where I last stop.

2nd week in Uni: Ta'aruf week. (Orientation week for all students, international+local)

The week that a lot of bittersweet things happen. I don't wish to elaborate much of this week. What I can say is that this week was an eye-opener for me. Test my patience up to the limit. But well, the important part is the last day of the Ta'aruf week, which is the Bai'ah ceremony whereby we took an oath and officially become an IIUM student. I've never felt more relief after the ceremony has ended. Alhamdulillah. =)

3rd week:The Add and Drop exercise.

This is the nerve wrecking week. Why? Because this is the week whereby you need to make sure you get classes. Yeah, I meant you need to make sure that you have enough credits to make it through the semester. So this is the most crucial week. Although I haven't enter Kuliyyah yet, I felt the pressure as I need to secure two more subjects. And although it's just two subjects, it is so tiring. I need to go and search for the lecturers, to get into their classes, as I can't apply online due to the fact that I'm not registered as a student in the kuliyyah. So I was searching for them in the maze of rooms in the complicated building which is all new to me. But Alhamdulillah, I get a lot of advice and help from my beloved seniors. Without them, I don't know how I'll cope. And I get to take up two more subjects apart from the two Arabic classes that is compulsory for me this semester.

So, everything ended well and I was planning on going home at the end of the week as I haven't applied for student visa yet. I was very eager on going home but due to some reason, it got delayed by a day. I was really annoyed at that fact, but I can't do anything but just wait. Thank God there's my roommates that I can go back home with. Was really excited to reach my home country. I think I walked too fast when I reached the immigration until I didn't see the sight of them. Said my goodbyes to them and practically rushed home. The feeling's just great to be at home.

Subsequent weeks.

So basically, class had started when I got back. Lessons were quite great. New environment. New friends, wonderful atmosphere. Had Jalan-jalan KL too. Hehe, went to Times Square with fellow mspians/ seniors, went to KLCC with fellow roommates, went to Masjid India with new Singaporean friends.

Ouh, I think I forgot to mention about my wonderful room. Although my Mahallah is one of furthest from the campus, I don't really mind at all. Why? because the view from my window is just great, and the size of the rooms are a bit bigger than the ones from other Mahallahs. The flooring is also better. The sun rays that shines through is sufficient for drying clothes. Ah, and one more thing, the food and drinks at our cafe is better that anyone else. Heh.

Although it's just been just a few weeks in uni, there was a few problems that cropped up. Well, I never imagine a smooth sailing ride, but I also didn't expect these kind of problems to happen. Well, life is really interesting. I'm glad my life is not dull and boring. It is up to us to perceive life and make it to our own liking. Gosh, I think I'm sounding a bit lame here.

I'll continue about the fasting month in the next post. Till then, take care! =D

That's all from me for now!

my dead blog.. relive

Salam people of the world...

I don't know why I feel like updating my blog. Suddenly there's an urge to update so many things, thought of updating just through facebook, but it's not logical to update my status so many times at a time.

Hmm, so what's up in my life. I'm back from my university for the Eid holiday! It's the first holiday since I enter university.

Ouh... but I haven't tell anything about my university life right? hmmm to tell or not to tell~~
Since I'm in a good mood.. Here's the story.

The day I depart from Singapore.

It was a sad moment. I had to go to KL by myself as there's no one who can send me. I packed until the time I had to go. Saying goodbye was really painful. Thank God my uncle and my father sent me to Larkin with my uncle's car. Along the way I took the time to message a few of my really close friends. My last departing words. Then, after changing my simcard, I can't switch on my hp. I really don't why. It was quite annoying as I had to travel alone and there's no hp. Ouh, actually there is, my father gave me his hp for me to use, but me, being lazy to adapt to a new phone, didn't care to use. At that moment realised that I need to use that phone no matter what. So, I said my goodbyes again to my father and board the bus. I find myself quite pathetic sitting alone in the bus, trying not to cry. Suddenly, the tv on the bus turned on and show this really weird+stupid+illogical+a bit funny story. Took my mind off for a while.

Upon reaching Bukit Jalil, contacted my relative, Macha to fetch me. I was really hoping that he will not be late a I'm alone and it's already night. I was trying my best to balance myself with my handbag and my humongous luggage. As I was pulling my luggage on the rocky road, trying to find a seat at the bus terminal, I heard somebody saying something like," Can this girl cope with this huge luggage?" I was like err, I just passed by them and sat down. I waited for a few minutes for his call. Thank God, it didn't took that long. Although its was quite difficult for the luggage to fit in his car, we manage somehow. I stayed at my aunt's house for two nights and a day before the registration day.

The registration day.( for international students)

This was again, a lonely day for me. Macha managed to send me up till UIA, but for the rest of the time, I need to manage by myself. Felt quite jealous as most of the Singaporeans, (or maybe all?) were with their family members. There was a few glitches before the start of the registration, but still, can keep my cool, although the weather's quite hot. There were booths for us to go through before we can settle down.

We had to take a bus to go to the Mahallah (hostel). Me, and the other 3 mwtians, plan to stick together so that we can appeal for the same room. While we were queuing at the office to get the keys, we were discussing who to appeal and what to say, it was quite hilarious. Upon reaching the counter, the counter girl(?) immediately say, " All of you in the same room ok?" We were looking at each other and was like, it's settled? Haha. So, Alhamdulillah, we got the same room.

The 3 of them came with their families, and I was the only one, alone. My heart was tinging with sadness as they had their family members with them, to help then unpack and clean up. But I can understand and accept the fact why my parents can't be with me. But I can't stop the sadness. They did help me with my stuffs and all, but it still feels different. I could say I was quite jealous. But well, it's fated to be.

The International student's orientation week.

So that week was the orientation week for the International Students. It was quite fun. Had bonding sessions, made new friends, touring around KL... and shopping! Err.. don't know what more to say.. but its was a great week! The organisers were fun. =D

As I'm starting to summarise, I think it's better for me to stop and continue another time. Heh. Felt like I've typed much. I like to thanks that someone for helping me change the layout. Syukran jazilan! Ouh, and those reading this post, thank you for still reading my blog although it seems dead already.. Heh.

That all from me for now! =D
